BarSwiss is a functional macOS menu bar utility prototype for system status, brightness tools, keep-awake controls, snippets, clipboard history, local file sharing, local file conversion, document tools, diagnostics, permissions guidance, and optional AI-assisted workflows.

The user opens a tool such as OCR, teleprompter, Local File Hub, Camera, File Converter, or another utility.

Grant or refuse

The user stays in control through macOS. If permission is refused, only the related feature remains limited.

BarSwiss Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 22, 2026. This policy explains local utility data, optional AI workflows, local network tools, permissions, diagnostics, file conversion, and purchases.

1. Overview

BarSwiss is a macOS productivity and system utility app designed for menu bar workflows, system tools, file tools, local network workflows, document utilities, diagnostics, and local productivity tasks.

2. Account requirement

BarSwiss does not require users to create a BarSwiss account for core local utility features. Optional third-party services, such as AI providers or app store purchase systems, may have their own accounts, terms, payment systems, and privacy practices.

3. Local data

Depending on the features the user chooses to use, BarSwiss may store local data on the user’s Mac. This may include snippets, clipboard history when enabled, notes, teleprompter text, diagnostics output, local preferences, workflow settings, project/task data, and selected app data.

4. File conversion and document workflows

File conversion and document workflows are intended to run locally on the user’s Mac. BarSwiss does not require an online file conversion website for its local file conversion tools. Converted files are written to the user-selected output location.

5. Local Network File Hub

Local Network File Hub features are designed to move files between devices on the user’s local network. Files are transferred only when the user starts or accepts a local sharing workflow. Users should choose shared folders carefully and use this feature on trusted local networks.

6. AI features and third-party AI providers

BarSwiss may include optional AI-assisted features such as AI debate, review, reply preparation, and prompt workflows. When the user chooses to use an AI feature, selected content may be sent to the third-party AI provider configured by the user.

API keys are user-provided. BarSwiss may store API keys locally in Keychain. BarSwiss does not control the privacy practices, retention policies, training policies, or processing rules of third-party AI providers.

7. Clipboard

Clipboard history is user-controlled. When enabled, copied content may be stored locally so the user can access previous clipboard items. Users can avoid using this feature for sensitive material or turn it off.

8. Diagnostics

BarSwiss may generate local diagnostic-style information for permission, system, network, and app configuration review. These reports are intended for local use unless the user chooses to export or share them.

9. Permissions

BarSwiss may request Apple/macOS permissions required for selected features, such as Screen Recording, Microphone, Camera, Accessibility, Files and Folders, Local Network, Automation, or related system access. Granting all permissions is not required just to open the app.

10. Purchases and payments

If BarSwiss is distributed through the Mac App Store or another payment platform, payment processing is handled by the relevant platform. BarSwiss does not receive or store full payment card details.

11. Data sharing

BarSwiss does not sell user data. Data may be sent to third-party services only when needed for features the user chooses to use, such as AI provider requests, app store services, system-level platform services, or user-initiated sharing/export actions.

12. Data retention and deletion

Local data remains on the user’s Mac until the user deletes it, clears related app data, changes app settings, resets local storage, or removes the app and related local files.

13. Children’s privacy

BarSwiss is not designed specifically for children. It is intended for general productivity, Mac utility, document, file, local network, and system workflow use.

14. Changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
